Help make personal care items accessible in our community (and get a discount on new plants at the same time!)
From June 3rd to 10th, we will be accepting donations at the shop for The Personal Care Bank -- a volunteer run initiative dedicated to helping folks get the personal care items they need. Our local care bank is located at 509 Gilchrist Street and looks like a "tiny library" that you've probably spotted around town. Folks can take what they need or donate what they are able to support others.
When you bring in a donation for The Personal Care Bank, you'll get 15% off your purchase at the shop that day! We will be gathering donations until June 10th, so feel free to visit as many times as you'd like!
Here are the sorts of items they can accept for donation:
✅ menstrual products
✅ toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss
✅ shampoo and conditioner
✅ soap and body wash
✅ deodorant
✅ creams and lotions
✅ shaving cream
✅ qtips
✅ PPE, sanitizer, face masks
✅ combs, brushes
✅ Naloxone kits
✅ tissues and toilet paper
✅ sunscreen
And here are a few they can't accept:
🚫 Razors, rubbing alcohol, medication or vitamins, laundry and dishwasher pods, any used, open, or out of date items
Feel free to bring as much or as little as you are able to, any donation at all will be eligible for a discount and we are so grateful to this community for helping us support causes like The Personal Care Bank!
